Taylor Swift and Pumpkin

Culinary Arts

Seems like everything these days is about Taylor Swift and Pumpkin. Of course, I am a fan. Of both.

In Taylor’s recent Time magazine interview, I love that she addressed comparison and competition between women.

If we continue to show young girls that they are being compared to other girls, we’re doing ourselves a huge disservice as a society. I surround myself with smart, beautiful, passionate, driven, ambitious women. Other women who are killing it should motivate you, thrill you, challenge you and inspire you rather than threaten you and make you feel like you’re immediately being compared to them.

It took me back to the time when I first started my blog and I thought that with so many food bloggers out there, I did not have a chance at a successful food blog.  But then I realized is not really about the competition or the success, is about the community we are all part of, and how we can all be influenced and influencers. So because there is plenty of good pumpkin things all over the web right now, I bring you a few from my favorite food bloggers.

So go read up on Taytay’s interview, have yourself some pumpkin, and let the inspiration from successful people out there be of nourishment to your soul.

The quote from Taylor Swift is so true! We need to stop comparing ourselves and our peers to other people, we should try better to accept ourselves for who we are.
And those Gingersnap Pumpkin Tarts look delicious!
